Week 03

Holy shit, I did something in this game! I can't believe I won that Head of Household competition. I thought for sure John was going to get it after the first couple of questions. I hope this win helps me to position myself better in the game.

Thoughts on the Cast:
Audrey - Probably won't nominate her considering she's been up the last two weeks; she deserves a break.
Austin - Definitely won't nominate him; he kept me safe last week and I'm going to repay the favour
Da'Vonne - I really like Da'Vonne and told her I'd keep her safe 100% and I'm going to honour that. We seem to be the target of some sort of alliance in this game, so I'm hoping to build upon that and work closer with her in this game.
Jackie - Jackie and I have spoken a bit and she seems pretty good in the game right now. She sort of seems like she's on the outs, so I'm hoping I can work with that and try to get something there. 100% keeping her safe as well.
James - I will most likely be keeping James safe, considering he didn't nominate me in the first week and let me know that Vanessa was targeting me. It's great to know that he's looking out for me; just kind of hoping he doesn't pressure me into nominating someone.
Jason - I haven't even spoken to him, so he may be an easy person to nominate.
Jeff - Same with Jason; haven't even had a conversation with him.
John - John & I have talked a little bit, and figuring he did so well on the Head of Household competition, there's a slim chance I'd nominate him this week.
Liz - Possibly my closest ally right now. Liz and I have built a bond over the last two weeks and I feel like there's a really strong alliance brewing there. I know she's got my back 100% and I've got hers. It's awesome to know she's there for me.
Shelli - We've spoken a bit, but I worry that she's borderline inactive. I most likely wouldn't nominate her considering she's a non-factor right now.
Steve - He seems cool, minus his blowup at Julie during the Head of Household competition. I don't think I'll nominate him, but he might be a good pawn if I need one.
Vanessa - Vanessa seems to be really in with the rest of the house, but unfortunately - she's my target this week. I heard from James that she is 100% targeting me and wants me to be the next to go. I'm not sure why that is, but it worries me and I want her to go. The only problem is - how do I accomplish this?

So, my thoughts going into this nomination ceremony are:

Definitely Not Nominating: Austin/Da'Vonne/Jackie/James/Liz
Leaning Towards Not Nominating: Audrey/John/Shelli/Steve
Leaning Towards Nominating: Jason/Jeff/Vanessa

One thing I have to be VERY wary of, is Vanessa's alliance. Not only do I have to make sure I'd have the votes to boot her, but she might have to go up as a backdoor considering how close she is to people. Ironically, Liz told me about an alliance of Jeff/Jason/James/Vanessa and herself, though she definitely doesn't consider herself a member. That might be a way to get to that group of people that I want to nominate. It makes sense now considering that 3/4 people in that alliance haven't spoken to me if Vanessa actually was targeting me. I'm going to get a few people's opinions and see what they think I should do before I finalize anything.

So I nominated Jeff & Vanessa. In the event that Vanessa doesn't come off the block, I should 100% have the votes to get Vanessa out of this house which is awesome. Keeping all the inactives off the block was actually a strategy of mine considering that they will most likely not vote, which means I have to secure less votes to get Vanessa out of the house.

I've solidified an alliance with Steve and another alliance with Jackie. I'm going to work on bringing some of my alliances together and form a group instead of a bunch of solo alliances. I should have the votes from Da'Vonne, Jackie, Liz, and Steve to boot Vanessa for sure, with possible votes from James and John. This combined with the inactivity of Audrey, Jason, and Shelli is all the votes except for Austin haha. Hopefully she goes! Jeff and I are on good terms after discussing nominations so I feel safe with him for now.

So I chose not to use the Power of Veto. We'll see what happens with the vote. Jeff seems likable enough and people seem to slowly be getting annoyed with Vanessa - so this may be the week to get her out. I feel as if James may slowly begin to mistrust me for targeting Vanessa, but we'll see in due time.

I need to touch base with John and see where his head is at as well. His competition strength has intrigued me and definitely pushed me to wanting to work with him. He's pretty level-headed and cool, which I appreciate so I could see us meshing well.

Jeff and I have formed somewhat of a random alliance, per se. He wanted to work with me but told me so after I nominated him, so I formulated a story of how it would be really interesting and nobody would expect it if we were aligned considering that I put him up. The only thing that worries me is that he said he would nominate me if he was Head of Household because he didn't want to get blood on his hands. We'll have to see; but I don't particularly see him winning HoH anytime soon considering the strength of some of the competitors. I'm kind of hoping for Liz/Da'Vonne/John to win Head of Household since I think I'm in their good graces.
